Dear Toni Tuesday……
Dear Toni, I’m so tired of working everyday to go nowhere. I can barely get by and I’m tired of scraping and working so hard. I just need a break. Any suggestions? T Dear T~ You may not like my response to this but ….. work! That’s all you can do. We need to work to survive and at time we are JUST surviving! It’s tough. Many people who make it big worked hard to get there. Many were below survival at the time. JK Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter series, was broke, a single mom, and contemplating suicide. Now a billionaire. To make it more simple, a friend’s…

Dear Toni Tuesday………
Dear Toni, My boyfriend and I have been dating for five months. He wants me to move in but it seems too soon. I do love him and I see us possibly getting married someday but I still have things I want to accomplish before jumping into a live in relationship. I feel bad because if I want to be with him the rest of my life, I don’t know what is stopping me. Advice? Thanks in advance. Truly, S Dear S, After years of jumping on decisions against my better judgement…. I now ask myself this question. Will I regret not doing it? If the answer is yes, I…

It’s No Accident
“Wow! This world is crazy!” We are hearing this more often now days. With the political battles, the race division, the cop issues….. it just seems that more aggressive behavior is on the horizon. Not just in the United States, but with other countries around the earth. It seems there is so much anger. The media boasts on problems with our country and elected officials. It pushes division among race, leadership, and first responders. The environment feels tense. People seem to be acting irrational and appear to judge. People are convicted before even standing trial. Businesses cave to save face and their customers. Media is left to be untrue and…

Dear Toni Tuesday……
Dear Toni, I want to move to a different state for better career advancement. My family is shocked that I even want to move away from them and are calling me selfish. I now have some family members mad at me and I haven’t even left yet. This is my life and I now feel at a crossroad and I’m not sure what to do. Suggestions? Thank you in advance, S Dear S, One thing I do want to point out that you said is that it is YOUR life. You are the only one who lives your life. You have to make decisions that work for YOU. Of course,…

Dear Toni Tuesday……..
Dear Toni, I love my friend and we have been friends for a long time. When we go out she always wants to go to bars and dance and hit on guys. If she finds a guy then he dumps her soon after. I am getting tired of it and trying to grow up and be a responsible adult and focus on work and paying bills. How do I get her to stop this? I don’t want to lose our fiendship. Help. H Dear H~ i would like to commend you on focusing on work and paying bills. This will be something we do the rest of our lives to…

It’s OK to say good-bye to more than just a year….
Another year has been left in the past. We move forward to the new year and leave everything behind but memories. Some are good, some are bad. Some are happy, some are sad. Some are fabulous, some we wish didn’t happen. No year is perfect but some are pretty darn close. It seems as we get older, we appreciate our years. We also appreciate friendship and family even more. Drama gets a side kick and peace moves in. We grow into life teachers and get to a place where little things have more value of good and less stress. When each year passes we leave something behind. Pieces of us…

Put your name on it!
Customer service, patient care, hospitality, and anything having to do with the association of people is lacking! Can we agree that a good word and a hand shake don’t much exist anymore? Back in the day it was everything. If you broke that trust there was hell to pay. Now, if you break that trust it’s a lawsuit and social media bashing but it’s such the norm now a days it means nothing. What a shame! So many people want a paycheck but don’t want to put in the work to get it. They put in just enough to get their money and have a weekend. As long as the work is…

Don’t feed the negative….. be the twist!
Negative, negative, negative!!!! We see it everyday, throughout the day. In social media, news threads, news broadcasts, sitcoms, comedy…… everywhere! You just can’t seem to get away from it. I have had a few friends taking breaks from social media because of it. I see tweets that start arguments. I see Facebook posts ending friendships. It’s absolutely out of control. Or is it? I will admit I have been drawn into the negative here and there. I have had my share of being unfriended. Not because I was being really negative but I was sharing what others didn’t want to hear. I am still hurt over a loss that happened…

Fall is the time for change………..
Summer is on it’s way out and fall is just around the corner. Change is everywhere right now. Kids are going back to school and meeting new friends. We will be spending more time indoors. Snowbirds are making plans to head out. Flip flops are traded for socks and boots. Football season is here and holidays will be soon upon us. The change of season is here. It is also the time where the warm air turns colder. The greens leaves turn color and start to fall. The lively life of summer months now prepares for the winter slumber. The world of nature around us quiets down, unwinds, and starts…

Stand for what you believe but know when to sit back………
We all have our opinions of how we think things should be in life. To living a healthy lifestyle or living it with junk food and the remote. To saying the Pledge of Allegiance in school or taking it away. To saying chicken should be baked instead of fried. Shaken and not stirred. Pretty much everything in life has our own opinions. That is what makes us unique. It is what makes progress in the world. It brings change and hope. It also brings conflict, deceit, and hostility. I think everyone should stand up for what they believe in. I have a few beliefs I project out. My biggest is “keep moving forward.” I honestly think…
