    Doing the right thing……..

We are busy. We have things to do. Places to be and things to be done. We don’t have a lot of time to spare. We let things go by or avoid them just so we don’t waste of any of our precious time. But sometimes, it the precious moments that matter. I saw something quite amazing recently that I haven’t seen for a while. Not that good things do not happen on a regular basis, but in a group effort I don’t see often. At my husband’s last dirt bike race I saw a show of great compassion for the sport and the people in it. As we waited…

    Take time to self reflect………

Life can be so busy. We are running here, running there, and still trying to manage everything else. We have hardly any time to think let alone reflect on our life. I am not talking about thinking about our life, I am talking about reflecting on your life. Really looking at your life and where you are in it. Something was brought to my attention that took me off guard. For many years I thought I had been clear letting people know how I feel about  them and certain things. I thought that even if I didn’t agree with what they might do, I support them and will be there along…

    Who’s opinion matters????

I had stated that my blogs were going to be motivational but also, pretty straight forward on some. We have real issues we live with that I would like to voice my opinion on every once in a while.  I know not everyone will agree with me and that is OK. We should all be able to agree to disagree. We are adults and should be able to know that everyone has their own beliefs and that is what makes the world go around. I am not saying I am right and you are wrong or vice versa. It is just the way we are designed. What I do not…

To complain or not to complain……….

Complaining has become a national pass time. It is so much easier to complain about something than try to fix it or accept it. In most cases, complaining gets you no where. It may feel good for the moment and getting it off your chest brings relief, but that is about it. Also, it would be safe to say that most people just don’t care to hear what you are complaining about anyway. Do any of you have those friends on Facebook or Twitter who constantly complain? I know I have a few. But only a few! I try to keep that negative energy away from me. I do, however,…

How long do you try before you give up????

I talk a lot about not giving up.  Keep moving forward. Keep trying. Well, the question is, how long do you keep trying before enough is enough? That all depends. But let me tell you a story that may inspire you to keep trying for as long as it takes. My dad was medically disabled at the age of 45 due to rheumatoid, degenerative arthritis. By the time he was 50 years old he was in a wheelchair.  His neck has been fused. He has had surgery on his hands, feet, knees, hips, and neck. His surgeries are numerous in number. He couldn’t drive anymore. He couldn’t walk anymore. He…

    Self Reflection……..

Often I post messages about letting go of negative people in your life.  This is true for friends, co-workers, and even family.  You don’t want to have negative in your life that brings you down and takes your energy.  But……. could you be your own source of toxic?  Could you be the negative energy that is bringing you down and others around you? If you can’t seem to get out of a certain rut in life, is it you? Sometimes we tend to make our own problems.  Some problems are just going to happen, it’s life.  But other times we cause our own.  We create more than what is there…

    Take a chance……….

We limit ourselves in fear.  Fear of failure.  Fear of what people will think. Fear of what may or may not happen.  Fear of it not working the way we want.  FEAR!  We are afraid to take the plunge.  What if it doesn’t work out?  What if I mess everything up?  What if, what if, what if………………….. WELL…………. What IF…………………… it works out better than you thought? Sometimes it may not work out the way you want.  But something will work out.  And maybe it will work out for the better!  We want to live a predictable life.  Live in the comfort zone.  If we know it, we can accept…

    Do not quit!!!

Life has its challenges. It throws us unexpected curves and a spiral of winds. And usually when we least expect it.  Somethings feel like we will never get through.  It keeps taking us down the long road and it keeps on going but doesn’t seem to have a stop sign or turn anywhere in sight.  We want to quit the adventure and get off the road but we just keep following it into no where.  We want to give up and not see where this is going to take us.  Sometimes it is just too hard and the longer it lasts, the more drained we become to continue on.  This…

The waiting is the hardest part…………..

Waiting!  It is so hard to do.  Waiting in line.  Waiting for the work day to be over.  Waiting for a trial to be gone.  Even waiting for something good coming up that is not happening soon enough.  We wait.  We lose patience.  We struggle with keeping a still heart.  Just be done with it already! The waiting is actually the best part.  It is where you find out your strength.  Your patience.  Your connection to yourself.  It is a learning period for those willing to learn.  It is not fun most of the time.  It is difficult and can bring you to your knees.  It can be frustrating with…
