New Year, New Delete ~ My Opinion

Every year you see the phrase, ‘New year, new me’! With social media it is now common to see, ‘New year, time to clean up friends list’! Then BOOM…. delete, delete, delete. Back in the day we had real friends. We hung out with them. We had fights, made up, and life went on. Or we had fights, the friendship ended and our hearts broke because we had a human physical connection that was now gone. Today, we hit UNFRIEND, move on to the next post and no tears shed. We are human heartless robots. I have been unfriended over the years by a few people that I thought were…

    No Resolutions ~ My Opinion

The New Year is right around the corner! People will be celebrating, welcoming in the new year and making the annual resolutions. New year, new you! Building up the anticipation of conquering the resolutions and not crashing after week three. It’s all very exciting!  It’s all very exiting until you miss the gym two days in a row and you call it quits. Why did you think this year would be any different? What made you think that you would stick to the resolutions now when you failed the last ten years? Stupid resolutions anyway!  You are not a quitter. You are not a failure. You are a warrior! But…

    Dear Toni Tuesday……..

Dear Toni, I have been trying to fulfill a dream for a couple of years now but it just isn’t happening. How long do you keep trying before you give up? Sincerely, R Dear R~ I give you kudos for following a dream and taking steps to achieve that goal. Good for you! Goals/dreams are very important to grow and achieving them is a wonderful feeling. Some dreams take a while to achieve. Some can wear us out. Do we continue and not give up or do we just say enough is enough. How much longer can I keep trying? Is this not meant to be? When to stop is…

    Dear Toni Tuesday………

Dear Toni, My boyfriend and I have been dating for five months. He wants me to move in but it seems too soon. I do love him and I see us possibly getting married someday but I still have things I want to accomplish before jumping into a live in relationship. I feel bad because if I want to be with him the rest of my life, I don’t know what is stopping me. Advice? Thanks in advance. Truly, S Dear S, After years of jumping on decisions against my better judgement…. I now ask myself this question. Will I regret not doing it? If the answer is yes, I…

    Dear Toni Tuesday……

Dear Toni, I have been having a hard time with social media. It’s like our lives are based on it. How many likes we get. How many friends we have. How many events we are invited to. Our relationship status. Our meme on our pics. Everything! It’s so hard to keep up. I feel like I waste all my time trying to fit it on social media. It’s so much to keep up with and a lot of pressure. You don’t fit in if you aren’t in with it. I have lost some friends because of it and I’m starting to get depressed. I’m not sure what to do…

    Don’t make New Year’s Resolutions…….

It is that time of the year again! Time to sit down and write your New Year’s Resolutions. Most of us write down two or three. And most of us write down the same ones we did last year, and the year before that. Most of us do not stick to our resolutions. I don’t believe it is necessarily not having the “will power”, but with a resolution, once you break it, it is over. If you make a resolution you are making a firm decision to do or not to do something. When you write these down, you are making a firm decision that on January 1 you will…

Fall is the time for change………..

Summer is on it’s way out and fall is just around the corner. Change is everywhere right now. Kids are going back to school and meeting new friends. We will be spending more time indoors. Snowbirds are making plans to head out. Flip flops are traded for socks and boots. Football season is here and holidays will be soon upon us. The change of season is here. It is also the time where the warm air turns colder. The greens leaves turn color and start to fall. The lively life of summer months now prepares for the winter slumber. The world of nature around us quiets down, unwinds, and starts…

    Create your balance….

I am back from some much needed time off. I had “fun time” and worked on getting a couple of projects caught up that I needed to focus on. Too many things at one time is not always a good thing. Sometimes we need to slow down to catch up. Which brings me to this blog. Balance! We need to live with balance in order to thrive. We often hear or have said that we need to find balance in our life. If we try to find balance, we will not find it. Balance is not something you can seek. Balance is something you need to create! If you are feeling out…

    2016 is YOUR year!!!

The New Year brings New Beginnings! Such an exciting time. Throwing out the old, bringing in the new.  Making new resolutions and hoping we stick to them. Looking forward to what the future has to offer or sometimes dreading what lies ahead.  It is all how you see it.  It is all what you want it to be. It can be filled with joy or full of sorrow.  You can start fresh or drag worries behind you. You can bring in new light or sift through darkness. I love the new year! I look forward to what lies ahead and what changes will come.  I look forward to accomplishing goals…

How long do you try before you give up????

I talk a lot about not giving up.  Keep moving forward. Keep trying. Well, the question is, how long do you keep trying before enough is enough? That all depends. But let me tell you a story that may inspire you to keep trying for as long as it takes. My dad was medically disabled at the age of 45 due to rheumatoid, degenerative arthritis. By the time he was 50 years old he was in a wheelchair.  His neck has been fused. He has had surgery on his hands, feet, knees, hips, and neck. His surgeries are numerous in number. He couldn’t drive anymore. He couldn’t walk anymore. He…
